Power Capacitors
Capacitors are used in facilities with inductive reactive loads such as motors, transformers, and coils to prevent the drawing of inductive reactive power from the grid and to avoid penalties. These capacitors are designed and implemented to compensate for the facility's reactive power under all conditions through various fixed or automatic applications depending on the load condition.
Sigma Low Voltage Power Capacitors range from 0.25 kVAr to 5 kVAr in 230V single-phase capacitors, and from 0.25 kVAr to 50 kVAr in 400V, 415V, 440V three-phase capacitors from 0.5 kVAr to 50 kVAr, and additionally with 525V heavy-duty capacitors from 10kVAr to 30 kVAr, offering reliable and long-lasting solutions for the reactive power needs of compensation systems.
It enables capacitors to discharge quickly with discharge internal resistance.
It has overpressure protection; in the event of overpressure, the separation wire inside the capacitor breaks, cutting off energy transmission and ensuring safe protection.
It is manufactured with dielectric polypropylene film material, ensuring low loss and long life.
It has significantly lower power losses than those specified in TS EN standards
It maintains safe operating performance even at an ambient temperature of 65°C
