Sigma Compensation Contactors are specifically designed for compensation systems. When capacitors are initially switched on, the excess current they draw is reduced by current limiting resistors before reaching the contactor's main contacts. This prevents the contactor contacts from being exposed to the high currents that occur during the activation of the compensation system, thereby extending the contactor's lifespan and preventing mechanical and electrical stresses. Additionally, the special V0 non-flammability tubing used on the outer surface of the current limiting resistors mitigates any fire risk during the passage of high currents.
• Use with power capacitors from 2.5 kVAr to 60 kVAr
• Standard 1NO auxiliary contact
• Extended electrical and mechanical life of the compensation system thanks to compensation contactors
